Why Choose Delphinium Business Coaching?
My name is Gemma and I’m owner and founder of Delphinium Business Coaching. I started Delphinium with one mission: to support entrepreneurs and small to medium sized businesses in achieving their ultimate ambitions.
As a young girl I had one career goal and that was to become a solicitor. Although the goal originated from a love of American courtroom dramas and films such as A Time to Kill and A Few Good Men, my passion for the law only grew when I began reading the law and further still when I began practising it. In my mid-twenties I achieved the goal that I had spent years striving for. I spent the next ten years working as a solicitor, during which time I also had the opportunity to work in a number other roles including performance management, process improvement, coaching and mentoring of staff, employee engagement and training.
Although I remained passionate about the law and all of the other roles, there was something missing. I had no clear career goals or know what direction I wanted to move in. All I knew was what I didn’t want. And then I had that light bulb moment when the clouds clear and you know exactly what you want. I realised that I wanted to work for myself, be my own boss and have the flexibility that comes along with it.
So why coaching? The answer to that question is easy…coaching is what I’m more passionate about than anything else. It supports personal and professional growth based on self-initiated change. The assumption is that individuals or teams are capable of generating their own solutions with the support of a Coach, using providing supportive, discovery-based tools and techniques.
I love nothing more than working with people, helping them to explore ideas, identify what is holding them back as well as providing encouragement and support to help them to achieve their ultimate goals. As fully trained Coach I am able to work with you and your teams to do just that.
Why you need a business coach
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
